Second day in PPE

This PPEstuff is other worldly and fun.  We triaged fake patients today, faked an IV, and talked more about what really happens inside the ETU. I will be behind medically, but I am more confident now there will be a valuable role for me. If I just do triage (which I would be great at) I would be fine with that. The training has been excellent so that everyone feels pretty safe. Found out my glasses work great in the PPE so I should even be able to see.  Bonus round!  Tonight we had a Thanksgiving feast- the usual box dinners of rice with egg and some spiced pumpkin, but Joe contributed wine, corn chips, chez mix, Oreos, and apples.  Dee contributed fresh papaya.  We all met and ate and shared our thanks.  Loved it!  I am with good folks doing good work, and I am so thankful for those supporting me from the U.S.  Thanks so much all of you, but especially Jean!

  1. That looks incredible, I hope you like everyone in the group and that you guys are supporting each other. I don't think I could do a lot of the stuff you're doing but it's awesome that you're doing it. Eat a lot of food, save some lives and don't get sick. Whoever you take care of is lucky to have someone as awesome as Kelsy Kuehn.

    Stay safe,
    Ben

  2. Thanks for the posts and pics. I am so glad to be able to get glimpses into your everyday experiences as they are happening - especially the everyday things like where you sleep. Love seeing the picture of your team. Can you post their names so we have a face to go with the name? Glad you had a thanksgiving day celebration too. It is freezing cold here - 0 F this morning. We had a great thanksgivigin day visiting friends while Rich was working. Sleep well. with love,
    Jennifer
